Bourbon Love

Bourbon lovers if you’re not up on Barrell Bourbon I am about to change your life. You may love and hate me for introducing you to this brown liquor deliciousness. Here’s the story, Barrell Bourbon blend products from “different distillation methods, barrels and aging environments, and bottle them at cask strength. Every batch is produced as a limited release…” ICYMI- LIMITED RELEASE – this is why you may hate me. So you’ll fall in love with one of their batches and when it’s gone, it’s…Don’t despairs, Joe Beatrice, Founder and his team are consistent in releasing potions to steal your heart. If last year’s Batch 006 was your Boo thang this year’s Batch 005 may be your Bea! I have yet to meet a Batch I did not love.
However, this year I keep going back to Batch 015. A blend of nine and a half, 10, and 11 year old straight bourbons from different distilleries and rickhouse locations in Kentucky and Tennessee. The mash bill corn, rye, and malted barley (percentage kept hush hush) aged in American white oak and bottled in Kentucky at 107.6 proof cask strength. Batch 015 is a mouth full of rich yumminess! Honeyed cornbread, cinnamon, and apple flavors. Warm finish without a burn.
