Brad’s creative spirit served him well as a Broadway dancer for 15 years and now he uses the same creativity to bring his special flare to your kitchen and dinner tables! \n\nFeatured Cocktail Recipe\n \nMARGARITA \nTake in the heart of Mexico as the flavors of Oaxaca transport you through a new twist on the classic margarita recipe. \nINGREDIENTS\n▪ Use your favorite tequila\, mezcal\, or rum\n▪ 1oz Fresh Lime Juice\n▪ 1/2 oz Agave Nectar \nMETHOD\nShake and serve over ice.\nGarnish with salt rim and lime wedge. \n\nFeatured Recipe (Please Join the Cooking Demo!)\n \nSPICY GRILLED SHRIMP TACOS W/ STRAWBERRY/AVOCADO/SWEET POTATO SALSA \nFor the Salsa:\n1 pound strawberries\, hulled and diced\n2 large avocados\, pitted and diced\n1 med sweet potato\, diced & steamed (3-5 min. in microwave or boil for 3-5min)\n1/2 red onion\, diced\n1-2 jalapeños\, seeded and fine diced\nzest of 1/2 lime\njuice of 1/2 lime\n1/2 t salt\n1/4 t garlic powder\n1/2 t smoked sweet paprika\n1/4 cup cilantro leaves\, roughly chopped\nIn a medium bowl\, combine all ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined. Set\naside. \nFor the Shrimp:\nSpice Mix:\n1 T of each: Chili powder\, Cumin\, Garlic Powder\, Smoked Sweet Paprika\n1/4 t of cayenne pepper\n1 t kosher salt or sea salt\n1 t fresh cracked pepper \nIn a small bowl mix all ingredients till combined. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Toss the shrimp and the spice mix in a bowl and toss till coated. Heat a drizzle of oil a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the shrimp to the hot pan and sauté for 5-7 minutes\, flipping occasionally\, until the shrimp are cooked through. Place in bowl and cover until ready to assemble tacos. \nAssembly:\nBest heat up your tortillas on the stove top or grill. Start with tortilla of choice. Add 2-3 grilled shrimp then top with the Strawberry/Avocado/Sweet Potato Salsa. Finish with sprinkle of cotija cheese and spritz of lime. \nENJOY!!!

Participants will learn about moving the breath with the body\, understanding the healing benefits of the breath and be introduced to more breath practices to help destress and refocus. \n\n\nMila Marshall\n\nI am a native Chicagoan and love the outdoors. My life is filled with excitement as I am a mother of three very active quaranteens who def keep me on my toes. Life as a yoga and meditation instructor has been transformative. I show up in my classes charged with only teaching what I practice\, and that requires a lot of self truth. So with that I teach from the places that I know the best; trap yoga lets me flex my b-girl side\, Sex Flex allows me to tap into the divine feminine\, chair yoga and restorative gives me access to heal the hurts from life as a competitve swimmer and water polo player\, beach yoga allows me to love life in open air and partner yoga is a way for me to dissolve the untruths about what I feel I am owed by others…and meditation\, well it reminds me that the bells and whistles of being born in a Black body can be divine and distracting. I don’t claim to shape shift like the best of them but I am for sure clear that I am not like the rest of them. I truly believe the soul is here for its own joy and there is no liberation sweeter than that of one’s consciousness from the ego.

Purée the fruit and separate the pulp\n2. Make a fruit syrup using the simple syrup method. (The simple syrup method- boil water add sugar. 1:1 ratio of 1 cup water to 1 cup sugar. Gin/ Vodka/Pisco/Light Rum/Sparking wine and reduce the amount of soda water or seltzer. \nNOTE: Please make the Purée Fruit Syrup before the event. \n \nCRANBERRY SHRUB (DRINKING VINEGAR) \nIngredients:\n1 12 oz. bag cranberries (fresh)\n1 cup sugar (for a healtier alternative\, try monkfruit sweetner instead of sugar)\n1 cup red wine vinegar \nDIRECTIONS: (PLEASE MAKE BEFORE THE EVENT)\nCombine all ingredients in a medium saucepan\, and bring to medium heat\, stirring occasionally. Let the berries cook down\, popping\, and breaking down until it thickens\, resembling jelly\, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat\, and strain through a fine mesh sieve.
